Today was one of the greatest days of the year, but in a month it will be one of my worst days of the year (maybe). Too hard to explain. If my luck changes then I could be the luckiest man alive.

If you have a day at work that you really want to get through, then follow this formula. Eat a bunch of chocolate and sugar the night before your dreaded day. Wake up with a stomach ache and go to work while in agony. Struggle through the first couple of hours until you get to lunch. Then go home so you can take some Pepto-Bismol and get a quick nap in. As you work later in the day you will realize that the pain will weaken, but more importantly your sense of euphoria will increase. By the time the pain is completely gone, it’s time to go home. Yea!
This is a basic overview on my day today. I work 10 hours a day and I’m one day away from summer vacation, so I’m counting every minute that goes by.

A week has past and I haven’t even sat down yet. Ever since I got off the airplane, it’s been a mad rush to get stuff done. Move into my new apartment, adjust to a new school, take care of old business, yada yada yada… It’s nothing like what I was doing last month, sitting in a Lazyboy eating Fiery Habanero Doritos while watching the World Series of Darts in the cool A/C. Though it seems like heaven, it’s not the life for me. I’m glad I’m back in Korea where everyday there’s a new challenge. My new school, Seodaemun SLP, is a big busy school, but has a great environment for teaching and learning. More on that later…
My new apartment is not as new or pretty as my old place, but it’s in a great location (2 minutes from work and 5 minutes from Sinchon a very active place). It has everything I need and maybe a little more. I made a little virtual tour. Watch it:

This is my last night in the States and I wanted to thank everybody for the great time I’ve had on my month vacation home. Today I got my passport with my new work visa in Chicago, so everything is a go. Tomorrow I will get on a plane for Korea and land 12 hours later. I’m ready to move into my new place and start being producive. Come visit sometime!

I take off for KC in less then 10 hours from now. What am I going to do for 14 hours in one place? That’s the million dollar question. Can’t wait to see everybody. See you soon!

I am another facebook.com victim. Might as well use my alumni email for something, plus it has so many little things to play with. Add me if you want.

Joowon, an old friend from KU, is in Korea for a couple weeks. We got together to watch the Korea v. Bosnia-Herzegovina football (soccer) game in Gwanghwamun on the big screen TV’s and then went to City Hall for the post game celebration. I almost had my moment of fame when a Korean cameraman asked for an interview, but it was too loud to hear anything. Actually I’m kind of glad, because he might of asked my why I was wearing a shirt that said “CANADA” like an idiot. It was my only red shirt!

Last night I went out to eat and drink with Mike’s new girlfriend Yun-kyeong. I took some pictures of them, so he could show his friends back home he’s not full of crap. They are a cute couple.
