Rose Bowl Fiasco

January 8, 2006 @ 5:38 am | Listen to this post

Since the Texas vs. USC game was on at 10am when I was working, I waited a couple of days and downloaded it. That meant that I would have to refrain from seeing the results until I watched it. Well, that secret didn’t last long (Thanks Juli, a new USC trojan), but I still wanted to see the craziness and oh was it ever crazy. Texas is a great team, but USC played like a highschool team. Reggie Bush was even quoted as saying, “It used to work in highschool”, when referring to his lateral. Are-you-serious?

If you watched the game or are planning to watch it, read Bill Simmons’ game dairy from Page 2. It’s HI-LARRIOUS!

8:42 — Fourth-and-2 at midfield, Texas goes for it and gets absolutely stuffed. That’s quickly followed by our first promo for “Dancing With the Stars,” featuring celebrities dancers like Jerry Rice, Stacey Keibler, George Hamilton, Tatum O’Neal … and ESPN’s own Kenny Mayne. I will now pop a champagne bottle directly into my right eye.
