What a Memorial Day Weekend! Thanks to Marena and Sarah (from Chi-town) for keeping the drinks flowing like water which kept me inebriated 24/7. I think my bedtime is 8pm tonight. Also the wedding was a beautiful thing. Have fun in Me-i-co kids!

Good times last night. Lots of friends, lots of drinks, and lots of one dollar bills. All for the man we know and love.

Oh the life of a college grad. I’ve been dreaming about this time ever since I was a wee youngster with my Ocean Pacific shorts and L.A. Gear shoes. Now that it’s here, I’m being dragged through the corporate world of resume preparation, long interviews, proof of documentation, and ass kissing. It’s been a humbling experience and my cell phone bill is going to be higher than Johnny Depp flying a kite (because of the international calls), but I’m lucky enough to have had an interview with Sogang Language Program the “Best English Academy in Korea” according to the Korean Government and many multi-lingual newspapers. The interview went great and they seem like they want to offer me a position. But the time may not be right at this moment because the job opening they are filling is for early June. Well, I need my diploma and transcript ready so I can apply for a work visa in Korea. But my university gives you your official documents 30 days after graduation which would cut it close. I’m not going to give up on it though, but I might have to pull some chains. If it doesn’t work out, then I’ll probably just wait for another position in July or August because they’re always hiring.
The saga continues…

I’m applying for jobs in Seoul right now and getting a lot of interest. Most foreigners do interviews and applications without going to Korea, but since I’ve been there and have some good connections I’d prefer to be picky and do interviews in person. It’s a super exciting experience, but also a very tough because it seems that most companies are hiring this month and June so I might be out of this country earlier then I thought!

It seems when you have everything taken care of, something else pops up. Long story short, I go pull my grades up for this spring and noticed an F for a class. “What the F*CK!” Turns out that registration enrolled me in an extra class when I did a add/drop for another class early in the semester. Plus I have a bill for $700+ dollars. I’s gottas da get mah degree! They are reviewing it now.

If you ever make cookies for someone’s birthday, make sure you test them out first. One of my co-workers make me peanut butter cookies for my birthday and they were yummy except the high dose of baking soda in them which messed up my mouth. Now my love for spicy food has to be put on hold until my mouth recovers.
Ohhh Tabasco, what will I do without you?
